Review - Homemade notebooks from Canada

Beautiful handmade notebooks from Canada (Parwana PAPER)

I love buying stationery and I love it even more when I am asked to review stationery!!

I received a beautiful handmade paper notebook which was crafted by PARWANA Paper artisans in Lahore Pakistan to review. It was sent from Canada by the PARWANA Paper distributor in North America. It was addressed to Stationery Aunt which was lovely. It has taken me a few a weeks to unpack and sit down to write the review (family were around and then work!!).

PARWANA Paper is a brand of Hima ^Verte a company that takes eco friendly business initiatives. PARWANA Paper works with paper makers book binders and block printers to revive and sustain the art of paper making in Lahore Pakistan.

It was packaged beautifully, I had seen pictures of the products but it’s completely different when you have one in your hand. The first thing that stuck out to me was the little tag ‘handmade with love’. It definitely looked like it had been made with love.  It also came with a small printed leaflet about the history of Parwana Paper, which I thought was an amazing idea and so very interesting.

My lovely niece was my hand model before we opened the notebook:

There is a video on Instagram of my lovely niece browsing through the beautiful handmade textured notebook.

The white writing paper is eco friendly and entirely made up from cotton. The notebook cover and sleeve is made from recycled paper where you can put little notes or receipts.  I really liked the elastic binding to tie the notebook.

Something I noticed whilst typing up this review is that the notebook is refillable!!!! That is one thing I get sad about if I have a lovely cover but the notebook is full, I won’t have to worry about this as I can refill the notebook with my own paper and it’s easy to do.

My niece decided she was going to use it for her maths homework, I am quite protective of my stationery so my niece will not be getting this lovely handmade notebook. I have decided to use it for my Calligraphy course that I recently signed up to. I can’t wait to use this book, I will be posting lots of pics.

I give this item 10 stars!! Absolutely love it. Can’t wait to use it!
